About Peace Lutheran Church
Peace Lutheran Church is a community of God's redeemed, gathered around his Word and Sacrament, waiting for the return of Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God incarnate, that he died for the sins of the world, and that God the Father offers forgiveness and eternal life to all people because of the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of his Son. Because God desires all people to receive this forgiveness, he has sent his Holy Spirit into the world to turn people away from sin and back toward the God who made them and loves them. Since this Spirit works primarily through the Scriptures, Baptism, and Holy Communion, the Christian community at Peace continually gathers on Sunday to hear the Word and receive the Sacraments in faith. While we await the return of Christ, we strive to live holy lives animated by God's Spirit, and to work out our salvation by sharing Christ with others in word and deed. A fuller explanation of our faith is available in Luther's Small Catechism, an instruction manual for the Christian faith written during the Protestant Reformation.
Peace Lutheran Church is a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
